Winter makes her presence known
Snowflakes blanket every stone
Ice forms solid up the Hudson
January echos fading fun
In the grip of the numbing chill
I seek and long for you still
Entranced in my vision
Repressed memory decision
Promises forgotten time
Moved by the rhythm and rhyme
Start afresh something new
What blossoms before me is you
Never really disappears
Facinated with my fears
Why this brings me to tears
After years and years and years
Shine a light in the dark
Candle glows and incense sparked
Pray for wisdom and insight
Courage fill me in the fight
Pure love pour forth from my soul
Purity innocence take their toll
Conflicting voices in my head
Must stay focused or end up dead.
