INT. COFFIN - NOW

Darkness. A half dead male voice rises.

MALE VOICE
Even in death I still look sad.

Gothic theatrical music, Sopor Aeternus, plays in the
background.

MALE VOICE (CONT'D)
In my dreams all is real. There is no
world for me to pass through without
exhaustion. I'm old. I'm wise. I
transcend time and space.

Credits roll.

MALE VOICE (CONT'D)
I am what you would call, surreal.

Title: "Vamp High - The Valdrek Chronicles" appears on
screen.

Possessed eyes open in the darkness.

MALE VOICE (CONT'D)
Don't be afraid. Mortals have taught me
to love. I have based my whole existence
proving vampires can be good.

Pull out to expose white fangs. Long dark hair cradles his
chiseled cheeks.

MALE VOICE (CONT'D)
Welcome to my school, Vamp High. Where
every vampire will obey the rules of
their master. Implementing acts of
kindness. We are the judged generation.
The spiritual battle marches forth within
our souls. And as history has proven,
the strong will survive.

A slender dark figure dressed in leather pants, trench coat,
and sinister smile lays motionless in a coffin; his sinister
smile melts into kindness.

VAMPIRE
Today you will capture a moment in time
that changed my life forever.
I'm Valdrek, the creator of the infamous
Valdrek Vampire Chronicles, started over
500 years ago.

He flies out of the coffin, fangs enlarge, as he attacks
camera, engulfed in darkness. A dreary organ plays.

VALDREK V.O.
Here is my story.

FADE IN:

EXT. VAMPIRE HIGH SCHOOL - MORNING

Student vamps walk into school. A group of vampires in the
distance weave in & out on roller blades. They slam into a
little girl-vamp, SUZIE, knocking her to the ground.

SUZIE
VAMPHOLES!

The leader of the group, SOPOR, red hair, dark glasses flies
over, lends out his hand to help her. A SECURITY OFFICER
runs to the scene.

SOPOR
Even in death you still look sad.

SUZIE
Shut up, you're not even written in the
chronicles. You're no one. You'll be
filed under "The Lost Vamps".

Security reaches them as Sopor retracts.

SECURITY
Everything alright, Suzie.

SUZIE
(gets up)
Yes, I'm fine.

SECURITY
(to Suzie)
You know you're suppose to keep that talk
in the classroom.

SUZIE
I'm sorry.

SECURITY
Go on. Fly away.

She flies away which looks like she skips moments in time.

SECURITY
(to Sopor)
Sopor, you and your friends...

He grabs Sopor by the shoulders, pulls him close, in a
demonic tone and disfigured facial expression...

SECURITY
I'll bite off your tongue, so you'll
never taste blood again. If I have to
correct any one of you boys one more
time, understand?

Security aims a remote at the vamps, beep, forcing them into
a vision.

CUT TO:

VISION: Close on blade slicing off a tongue, blood squirts.

VALDREK V.O.
Eternal Blood.

INT. VALDREK'S OFFICE - SAME MOMENT

CLOSE ON: Computer screen types out "Sopor and his vamps
knocked over Vamp Suzie. Vision treatment successful." From
the back you see Valdrek sitting in his office reading the
computer screen as security monitors view the school.

EXT. SCHOOL - SAME MOMENT

Sopor jumps back, bows his head, falls to his knees in
reverence. The others fall as well.

SOPOR
I'm sorry. You're right officer, forgive
me?

SECURITY
If you disobey, Valdrek will have your
fangs.

The others rise from their knees, wait for Sopor's nod, and
blade off; Sopor follows.

A contract of rules over antique paper dissolves in with
different signatures written in blood.

VALDREK V.O.
Numeral One. Vampires caught breaking
rules without repentance will
automatically result in removal of fangs.
Numeral Two. Any vampire caught not
radiating with acts of kindness will only
feed on rats for a week.

INT. VAMPIRE HIGH SCHOOL HALLS - SAME MOMENT

A nerdy freshman vamp, GOSTIMBER, stands erect reading rule
number three.

GOSTIMBER
Numeral Three. Any Vamp caught
demoralizing another vamp results in
removal of the tongue.

A senior vamp, KUT'SNUKET, calls out.

KUT' SNUKET
Why do we have to learn this crap?! It's
against everything I believe. Where are
the original Valdrek Chronicles anyway?

Gostimber looks over at the teacher, MS. VAMP SADINE.

MS. VAMP SADINE
Vamp Kut' Snuket. It's said to have each
vampire soul's DESTINY written in the
Vampire Chronicles. They were started
over 500 years ago by Valdrek. They are
hidden in a vault only known by Valdrek.

KUT' SNUKET
Why do we have to take his word for it?

MS. VAMP SADINE
When you joined our family, you signed in
blood saying you will obey Valdrek's
rules. If you betray him, you can loose
your immortality. This is a training
period, young Vamp. You will grow
spiritually to levels far exceeding the
human race.

KUT' SNUKET
Yes, Ms. Vamp Sadine. I understand.

MS. VAMP SADINE
Good. What you need to realize is as an
immortal, living on earth forever can be
a treacherous life not worth living if
you do not learn and grow with the times.
You must always learn the ways of the
humans since they are the majority. You
can build empires, but first you must
know what it takes to become good. If
you do good for others, a good life will
be given to you in return. I know this
because I am 257 years old. I was 30
when I met Valdrek and he changed my life
forever. I trust in him and so should
you.

INT. VALDREK'S OFFICE - SAME MOMENT

Valdrek sees a figure in black walk towards him within his
mind. CHRISTY, Valdrek's assistant, sits at her desk as VAMP
MENA, intelligent, confident walks past her with a bag on her
shoulder.

CHRISTY
Good morning Mena. How was your trip?

MENA
You look very beautiful this morning,
Christy. Very chippery. Rome was great
thank you for asking.

She continues past and enters Valdrek's office.

VALDREK
I must say I am very proud of you Mena.
He never saw it coming.

Valdrek takes a letter opener and moves it across his tongue.

MENA
I'm almost as old as you are, Valdrek. I
told you, you could trust me on this
assignment. He definitely will not be
giving you trouble any longer.

VALDREK
I'm waiting. Where's my prize?

She reaches into her bag and throws down a hand that has been
cut off. Valdrek picks it up.

VALDREK (CONT'D)
(smiles)
He's pissed, but another will grow back
soon.

MENA
He couldn't stop apologizing.

VALDREK
I know. I forgive him. And you my dear
will get vacation time anywhere in the
world. Where would you like to go?

MENA
You don't have another assignment for me?

VALDREK
When I do, you'll know.

MENA
Send me to the Netherlands.

VALDREK
It's done. Tonight you go.

MENA
Thank you Valdrek.

She starts to walk away.

VALDREK
Thank you. Oh and Mena...

She turns around.

MENA
Yes.

VALDREK
Do me a favor and give me that same look
as you gave him right before you cut it
off.

An intense vampire look strikes across her face.

VALDREK (CONT'D)
You send shivers up my spine.

She smiles at his warped sense of humor and walks out.

DISSOLVE TO:

INT. DARK ROOM - MOMENTS LATER

A figure can be seen meditating. A candle burns as his
fingers journey over the flame. This is WOLF. Within his
mind he sees Mena walking towards him. He blows out the
flame and rises. Mena enters.

WOLF
So Valdrek is happy with your
performance.

She smiles.

MENA
He's sending me to Amsterdam tonight,
would you like to come?

WOLF
I can't.

MENA
Other plans?

WOLF
(puts finger to his mouth)
Shhhh...

MENA
Oh Wolf, I don't even want to know. You
have been so obsessed with...
(v.o.)
Jevon lately.

He reads her thoughts. They communicate back and forth
through their mind.

MENA (CONT'D)
You know the consequences if you get
caught.

WOLF
It will be too late by the time Valdrek
finds out.

MENA
What about Viktor?

WOLF
He has nothing to do with it.

She finally speaks out loud.

MENA
Are you sure you don't want to come to
Amsterdam with me?

WOLF
Thank you for the offer.

She waves her hands doing her unique vampire goodbye and
disappears.

WOLF (CONT'D)
(to himself)
I love it when she does that.

Wolf is deep in thought.

FADE TO BLACK.

FADE IN:

EXT. VAMPIRE HIGH SCHOOL - DAWN

In the distance, a row of vampires hang upside down on a tree
like bats. DEXTER and JEVON, both humans stare at the human
bats in awe.

JEVON
I told you they were vampires, man.

DEXTER
No way maybe just a few crazies trying to
catch some Z's hanging in a tree.

JEVON
I want to be immortal. I have spent my
whole life studying the phenomenon of
vampires. Did you know the reason Count
Dracula became who he is today is because
of some chick.

DEXTER
What are you talking about?

Staring at the young men unannounced to them is WOLF, the
most fierce and intelligent vampire after Valdrek.

JEVON
It's true. He went off to fight the holy
wars and when he came back his love was
killed. He was so messed up over this
chick, he denounced God.

DEXTER
Are you saying count Dracula lives in
this high school?

JEVON
No, man. What are you stupid? I'm just
trying to make my point that he's a real
historical character. Vampire's roots go
way back. I don't know who runs this
school. But look at them. They're
vampires.

Wolf charges at them like a raging beast who hasn't eaten for
days. His flared teeth sink into Dexter's neck as his hand
covers his mouth snapping his neck.

JEVON
Lord have mercy!

Wolf grabs Jevon by the neck, raises him in the air, slamming
him back against a tree. Jevon's fear and excitement
radiates through his eyes.

WOLF
You want to become immortal? You think
it's fun feeding on blood?

Silence. Dexter's limp body falls.

Wolf throws Jevon to the ground, sinks his teeth into his
neck. Jevon's body convulses as he turns into a vampire.
Wolf comes up from feeding, blood pours down his chin as he
howls at the moon.

Wolf grabs Vamp Jevon by the back of the neck and forces him
upon Dexter.

WOLF
Feed, before it's too late.

Wolf laughs and howls psychotically.

Valdrek flies in from nowhere, grabs Wolf by the chest with
rage from the pit of hell, throwing him against the fence.

VALDREK
You broke the cardinal rule Wolf. You're
punishment will be severe. You are never
to turn anyone into the immortal.

WOLF
I'm sick of your rules Valdrek.

VALDREK
You signed in blood. You will be banned
from here never to return again.

Wolf leaps at Valdrek. Valdrek throws him to the ground.
They fight. Roars from hell shake the earth. Valdrek wins,
slamming his foot into Wolf's neck screaming into the air
with victory. Vamp Jevon surrenders to Valdrek.

VALDREK
(to Vamp Jevon)
You will surrender to me.

FADE TO BLACK.

FADE IN:

EXT. VAMP HIGH SCHOOL, NEXT DAY - DUSK

Ground POV: Valdrek walks down the wall wearing a necklace
made of fangs. CHRISTY, Valdrek's assistant, beautiful,
innocent eyes, dressed in black, waits for him on the
ground.

CHRISTY
Your punishment on Wolf was too harsh.

VALDREK
He broke the cardinal rule. If I let him
get away with it, all of my little vamps
will be converting humans.

CHRISTY
What's wrong with that?

VALDREK
Christy, you have been my assistant for
close to a hundred years, why are you
turning on me now?

CHRISTY
I'm not turning on you Valdrek. I just
think Wolf is a bit smarter than all the
rest and if he wants to form his own
family and leave from here, he should
have that choice.

He strokes her hair, grabs the back of her head and jerks it
back.

VALDREK
(whispers into her ear)
If it wasn't for me, you'd be dead in
your grave by now, with your wrinkled
skin being eaten away by maggots.

CHRISTY
I am sorry for offending you master. You
are right. I know you are the direct
descendant of the Count Vladimir Dracula.
I will never forget that. I owe you my
immortality.

VALDREK
Good. I'm glad we see eye to eye again.

Security walks by, bows down to Valdrek and continues to walk
away. VAMP NADIA, a beauty in black, stands behind a tree
watching Christy and Valdrek.

NADIA
(to herself)
One day it will be my time. I must know
what's written in the chronicles about my
destiny.

Valdrek looks over at Nadia as if he heard her. She
disappears.

INT. SCHOOL - MOMENTS LATER

Kut' Snuket sees Nadia in the hall and approaches her.

KUT' SNUKET
Did you hear what happened to Wolf?

NADIA
What are you talking about?

KUT' SNUKET
I heard last night Wolf turned a human
being into a vampire and Valdrek caught
him red handed.

NADIA
What'd he do to him?

KUT' SNUKET
Ripped open his jaw and removed his
fangs.

NADIA
What? That's not true.

KUT' SNUKET
Yes it is. Wolf's fangs are hanging from
Valdrek's neck.

NADIA
Where's Wolf now?

KUT' SNUKET
He was shipped back to Africa where
Valdrek found him.

NADIA
Kut, do you know where Valdrek keeps the
chronicles?

Vamps walk by going to class. One of them turns around and
stares at Nadia for asking the forbidden question, then walks
away.

KUT' SNUKET
You know better than to ask me that,
Nadia.

He leaves.

NADIA
(to herself)
I have to take out Christy.

INT. CLASSROOM - SAME MOMENT

We scroll down the board, in black marker reads, "One who is
greedy brings trouble to their own house." Ms. Vamp Sadine is
at the front board teaching.

Jevon is sitting in front of VAMP VIKTOR, a red haired dark
souled vampire. Syntak leans into Jevon.

VIKTOR
I heard you signed your name in blood
last night.

Jevon turns around.

JEVON
So.

VIKTOR
So, how do you like it? Being immortal.

JEVON
I've wanted this my whole life.

VIKTOR
Well, it was at the cost of my best
friend, Wolf.

Viktor flares his teeth.

VIKTOR (CONT'D)
Better watch your back, Jevon. Your
powers are weak. Mine are strong.

Ms. Vamp interrupts them.

MS. VAMP SADINE
Excuse me, do we have a problem here?

SYNTAK
No mam, just welcoming Mr. Vamp Jevon to
the family.

MS. VAMP SADINE
Well then, let's get back to class, shall
we?

Viktor growls under his breathe down Jevon's neck. Jevon
looks scared, but contains himself.

INT. BATHROOM - SAME MOMENT

Vamp Nadia is leaning over the sink staring into her own eyes
in front of the mirror.

NADIA
I've never felt so connected as when
Valdrek first made me into who I am
today.

A tear drops from her eye. The bathroom door opens and VAMP
MARYANNE, a short dark haired outgoing vamp walks in.

MARYANNE
Hey Nadia. Talking to yourself again?

Nadia throws her a look, not saying a word.

MARYANNE (CONT'D)
(feeling the uncomfortable
silence)
You know, maybe if you'd talk and allowed
others to get to know you, you wouldn't
be so depressed all the time.

NADIA
Excuse me? You don't have the right to
judge me. Did you ever look in the
mirror, Maryanne and question your
immortality?

MARYANNE
Wow, you do talk and you know my name.
Sorry, I always categorized you as a lost
vamp. You know, the ones without a
written destiny.

NADIA
What do you know about that?

MARYANNE
Obviously a lot more than you do.

Maryanne gives Nadia her infamous vamp smile and walks out.

Nadia thinks back to the times of her transformation.

FLASHBACK - EXT. CEMETERY

Nadia is on her knees crying at her father's grave. She
places a white rose next to his tombstone which reads,
"William Mason 1940-1999".

Valdrek walks up behind her, places his hand on her shoulder.

VALDREK
Why moarn my sweet Nadia? You can't
bring back the dead.

Nadia looks up, locks eyes with Valdrek.

NADIA
Who are you?

VALDREK
My name is Valdrek. I can take away your
suffering.

NADIA
I don't understand.

VALDREK
You must allow this life to pass, come
with me. I can take away your pain and
give you immortality.

NADIA
How? My father was the only happiness
I've ever known.

Valdrek holds out his hand. She stands up.

VALDREK
Do you want to live forever? Experience
a new life, one without pain and
suffering.

NADIA
Yes.

VALDREK
I will not hurt you. Do you trust me,
Nadia?

NADIA
How do you know my name. I don't know
you. You scare me.

VALDREK
All you have to do is consent. I will do
the rest.

She looks down at her father's grave. Silence.

NADIA
I love you daddy, but it's time for me to
move on.

She grabs Valdrek's hand. He slowly brings her wrist to his
mouth. Her eyes roll back. She faints in his arms as he
carries her away.

INT. BATHROOM - SAME MOMENT

Valdrek stands behind her as she stares into her eyes in the
mirror.

VALDREK
Your time has come.

EXT. MOUNTAINS - NIGHT

The sky rapidly moves as dark music sweeps through the air.

EXT. SCHOOL, TENNIS COURTS - NEXT MORNING

Bell rings. Kut Snuket and Viktor are roller blading on the
tennis court.

VIKTOR
So how are we going to take down Jevon.

KUT' SNUKET
Man, just get over it. If we ever got
caught, we'd loose our immortality.

VIKTOR
No way. I will not get over it. Wolf
was my partner in crime way before he and
I were transformed.

KUT' SNUKET
What happened?

VIKTOR
Valdrek was always the type to try and
help those lost souls in society. Wolf
and I were on a killing spree 200 years
ago. We started killing in Spain and by
the time we made it over to Italy after
69 kills, Valdrek found us. He actually
saved Wolf from being killed. We knocked
off the head of the mob in Italy because
we wanted to see how far we could go.
When they found out who did it, there was
a big shoot out. Valdrek came flying in
from out of nowhere lifting us up and
carrying us away. He said he saved us
because he wanted to show us a better
life.

KUT' SNUKET
What happened then?

They stop skating, grab the fence staring out into the
parking lot.

VIKTOR
He made us immortal and wanted us to help
him form a family of vampires consisting
of all the bad seeds.
He said he had the power to give life and
wanted to use it to better society. A
lot of the top executives today are
Valdrek's.

KUT' SNUKET
What the hell are you talking about?

VIKTOR
You don't stay in this school forever,
man. When Valdrek knows you are ready
for the real world, he sets you up to run
a business fulfilling your destiny. He
has vampires all over the world in top
positions working for him. What Valdrek
wants, Valdrek gets. That's why he has
Mena. He sends her out to fix any
problem he may have.

KUT' SNUKET
Then why are you still here?

SYNTAK
I choose to be. I enjoy the new comers.
Valdrek promised Wolf and I our own
schools, but Wolf couldn't wait. He kept
telling me he was ready but Valdrek felt
different.

KUT' SNUKET
Are you plotting revenge on Valdrek?

SYNTAK
Never, he's too powerful and I owe him
all that I am today. Wolf had a
weakness. I blame Jevon for putting the
temptation in front of Wolf.

KUT' SNUKET
Jevon was an innocent bystander.

SYNTAK
No he wasn't. Wolf told me about Jevon
ten years ago. Jevon had been practising
voodoo and witchcraft in Jamaica and in
London. He was psychically connected to
Wolf for many years. Wolf has been
appearing to Jevon in his dreams and drew
him here. Jevon knew if they ever met,
Wolf could loose his immortality, but he
chose to come anyway.

The second bell rings.

KUT' SNUKET
Shoot, we're late for class, come on.

They roller blade off.

INT. SCHOOL - MOMENTS LATER

Time passes. A clock fades in spinning around as students
walk fast in the halls to their next class.

EXT. CANAL, BY SCHOOL - AFTER SCHOOL

Sopor and his posse see Vamp Suzie walking in the distance.
They speed up and circle around her.

SUZIE
What do you guys want from me?

SOPOR
Your blood. What else would we want?

VAMP SANCTUN, one of the posse members gets in her face.

SANCTUN
We don't want your blood. We just want
you to find the chronicles so we can get
out of here.

SOPOR
You see Suzie we have been here for
thirty years and are sick of this damn
school. So as a new comer, you will obey
us and steel the Valdrek Chronicles.

SUZIE
I can't do that.

SANCTUN
And why not?

SUZIE
I don't want to loose my immortality.

SOPOR
You won't. Don't you see it's all a lie.
Valdrek wants to keep you here, trapped,
so he can boss you around.

SUZIE
Then why don't you do it?

SANCTUN
We tried and were caught twenty years
ago. And see we still are vampires. But
you have the ability to read other Vamp's
minds.

In the distance, Nadia overhears their conversation echoing
in her mind.

SOPOR
And all you have to do is read Valdrek's
mind when he is not concentrating on you.
Listen to his thoughts and find out where
he stashes the book.

SUZIE
That's all you want me to do?

SOPOR
Yes that's all.

SUZIE
How is the book going to get you out?

SOPOR
Oh little Suzie, you have so much to
learn.

SANCTUN
Find us the book and we'll leave you
alone.

SUZIE
Fine.

Nadia walks away before they see her. The posse also walks
leaving Suzie behind.

We follow Nadia as she walks towards the school.

NADIA V.O.
What do I do? If I tell Valdrek, I may
be responsible for all these vamps
loosing their lives. If I let it play
out, nature will take its course and
whatever's suppose to happen will.

She turns back deciding not to tell.

FADE TO BLACK.

FADE IN:

INT. VALDREK'S OFFICE - NEXT MORNING

Christy is at her desk drinking her coffee. Valdrek walks
over to her.

VALDREK
Good morning Christy.

CHRISTY
Good morning Valdrek. Did you see in the
paper this morning that at Zyra's concert
last night at the National Car Rental
Center, he dedicated his new song "Good
Vamps" to all the students of Valdrek's
school.

VALDREK
Really? Get his manager on the phone for
me.

CHRISTY
Alright.

VALDREK
Another thing, please have Nadia come to
my office this morning.

CHRISTY
No problem.

INT. SCHOOL - THAT MOMENT

Students fill the halls walking to class.

INT. VALDREK'S OFFICE - MOMENTS LATER

Nadia walks into his office. Valdrek is on the phone and
gestures to her to have a seat.

VALDREK
Thank you Zyra. God Bless you too. Bye.

NADIA
You wanted to see me.

VALDREK
Yes. Is there something on your mind
that you wanted to talk to me about?

NADIA
What do you mean?

VALDREK
You know what I mean Nadia.

NADIA
Um, no.

VALDREK
Do not say I never gave you the chance.

She gets up and slowly walks out. She stops at the door,
turns around and takes a seat again.

NADIA
I'm sorry for lying to you. How did you
know?
(no answer)
Yesterday I over heard Sopor and his
posse talking to Suzie.

VALDREK
And?

NADIA
And they wanted her to read your thoughts
to find out where you keep the Valdrek
Chronicles.

VALDREK
How did that make you feel?

NADIA
I wanted to tell you at first but chose
not to because...because...I don't know.

VALDREK
Because you wanted nature to take it
course.

NADIA
Yes. How did you know that?

VALDREK
Nadia do you trust me when I tell you
have a greater destiny than just being my
assistant.

NADIA
What!?

Valdrek keeps his eyes locked on hers.

NADIA
Valdrek, forgive me?

VALDREK
I forgive you Nadia. Your future holds a
great many promises. I saw this from the
first day I met you at your father's
grave. You may go now Nadia.

NADIA
Thank you Valdrek. Thank you.

She gets up from her seat and exits.

INT. SCHOOL - HALLWAY

Maryanne is at the water fountain as Suzie walks by thinking
to herself.

SUZIE V.O.
How am I gonna pull this off?

MARYANNE
(turns around)
Pull what off Suzie?

SUZIE
Excuse me?

MARYANNE
You just said how am I gonna pull this
off? And I was just asking, pull what
off Suzie?

SUZIE
I didn't say anything.

MARYANNE
Yes you did.

SUZIE
Whatever.

She walks away. Maryanne follows.

MARYANNE
I want to know what you are talking
about?

SUZIE
Excuse me, do I know you?

MARYANNE
I know you.

SUZIE
Can you please stop following me?

MARYANNE
Not until you tell me what it is you are
trying to pull off.

SUZIE
Listen, unless you want me to rip out
your tongue, you better leave me alone.

MARYANNE
Oh yeah, how you gonna do that?

Suzie throws Maryanne up against the wall, flares her teeth.

SUZIE
Don't mess with me.

Security runs over, breaks it up and Zaps both of them with
his remote.

FLASH - Suzie is tied to the flag pole with a group of vamps
circling around her laughing, making fun of her. She screams
herself out of the vision.

SUZIE
(hysterically)
STOP! I can't take it anymore. Stop
making fun of me. I JUST WANT TO FIT IN.

FLASH - Maryanne has tape over her mouth. Different vamps
are in her face making her confront her worst fear. It looks
psychotic.

VOICES
(chanting)
Can't talk. Love to talk. Cat got your
tongue. Can't talk. Love to talk. Cat
got your tongue.

Snap out of flash into reality. Maryanne's eyes are bulged
out red, with tears. Her voice is strained trying to scream
but can't.

The security guard reports over walkie.

SECURITY
Broke up cat fight between Maryanne and
Suzie. Vision treatment confronting
their worst fears, successful.

INT. VALDREK'S OFFICE - SAME MOMENT

Valdrek sees security's words typed out across the screen.

EXT. FOOTBALL FIELD - MOMENTS LATER

Suzie's body is convulsing, flopping around as she burns in
the sun.

SUZIE
(screaming)
HELP ME...I'M BURNING...HELP ME...

Sopor and his posse stand over her laughing watching her
burn.

Valdrek runs upon her, pushing past the group, throwing a
blanket over her to protect her from the sun. Her body
relaxes. He turns to Security.

VALDREK
Zap them. Knock them out.

Security zaps them with the remote sending each of them into
visions, bright light, they drop. Christy reaches the group.

CHRISTY
What's wrong with her Valdrek? Why was
she burning?

VALDREK
Sopor created a potion mixing human blood
with vampire blood.
He combined it with an extract from a
plant only found in the Amazon. That's
where he is from. He has not been able
to control his anger ever since I
transformed him.

CHRISTY
Why did you make him a vampire?

VALDREK
He was practising voodoo at the time. He
summoned me, so I journeyed to him
through the energy he released.

CHRISTY
I don't understand.

VALDREK
He extracted bone marrow from a dead
body, mixed it with this exotic flower,
combined his blood with mine and became a
vampire through voodoo. He's been trying
to get out from under me ever I started
this school. He's very dangerous. He
wants the Chronicles to figure out how to
break the spell.

CHRISTY
The potion he made reversed the blood in
Suzie?

VALDREK
Yes.

CHRISTY
Is she going to die?

Valdrek drops his head.

VALDREK
Before sundown.

CHRISTY
What are you going to do?

VALDREK
Lock them up in the dungeon, feed them
rats. I'm not a killer Christy. I'll
feed on animals before I kill a human for
blood. Sopor unfortunately does not have
the same values. That is why he has been
in my school for thirty years.
No vampire is released into the world
until I know for sure they have found the
one true master. The one who has truly
conqurred death.

The security gets on his walkie.

SECURITY
We need assistance on the football field.
Bring the vamps to the dungeon.

He grabs another vamp to pick up Suzie and they walk away.

CHRISTY
I'll stay with Suzie until her time
comes.

VALDREK
Thank you Christy. You will be free to
go when it is over.

CHRISTY
Valdrek, I don't want to leave.

VALDREK
I have greater plans for you, my dear.
You will be sent to France tomorrow
morning.

CHRISTY
What I am going to do in France, Valdrek?

VALDREK
You will set up a church devoted to the
one who sits on the throne. The one who
I've created our family for.

She breaks down.

CHRISTY
Thank you Valdrek. You definately make a
different breed of Vampires.

INT. VALDREK'S OFFICE - NEXT MORNING

Valdrek is at his desk when he receives a flash image of
Mena.

MENA
Valdrek, you're in danger. I'm coming
home.

Nadia is sitting at what used to be Christy's desk. The
phone rings. She answers.

NADIA
Thank you for calling Vamp High. This is
Nadia. How can I help you? Hold on
please.

She presses the speaker phone.

NADIA (CONT'D)
Valdrek, Wolf is on line one.
